About Matthew Favro - Criminal Defense, Family Law and Town Attorney

Matthew Favro is a graduate of Providence College, cum laude and Albany Law School, where he also graduated cum laude. While at Albany Law, he served as the Managing Editor for Lead Articles for the Albany Law School Journal of Science and Technology. He was also an active participant in the American Inns of Court program. After graduating law school in 2006, Matthew practiced as an associate at Ford, Marin, Esposito, Witmeyer & Gleser, L.L.P., in Manhattan before becoming an associate at The Law Office of Gary L., Favro, PLLC, in Plattsburgh, New York (now Favro Law). Matthew has practiced and appeared throughout the North Country in local and County Courts, Supreme Courts, Family Court, as well as in Federal District Courts. Matthew is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. Matthew concentrates his practice in the areas of state and federal criminal defense, family law, real estate, plaintiff’s personal injury and civil litigation and he represents many local municipalities and boards. Matthew is currently the Deputy Attorney for the Town of Plattsburgh, and is the Town Attorney for the Towns of Champlain, Dannemora and Peru. Active in the local community, currently Matthew is the President of the Cliff Haven Homeowner’s Association, and an active board member at Pine Harbor. Matthew has previously served on the board of Behavioral Health Services North and the North Country Center for the Arts.
